Dear
Fishers
of Men,
We are on the brink of harvest. We are so
close I can taste it. I can smell it. I can hear the sound of many feet coming
closer. The Lord has been revealing prophetic pictures to me in preparation
for multitudes coming out of darkness. An intimate prayer life will sustain us
all. Seriously ponder Jesus’ statement: “Be always on the watch, and
pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you
may be able to stand before the son of Man.”
Let me share some insights with you.
The first prophetic picture the Lord has
been showing me first occurred when I was about three years old. To my great
excitement and glee, my father often carried me on his shoulders throughout
our house. The wonderful part was that he would let me see and touch many
things that I otherwise could not. Recently, this image has come before me
quite often. I strongly feel the Lord is saying through this image that our
heavenly Daddy will personally carry us and take us places we have not seen
before. He will also show us things
(Jer. 33:3) we could not possibly know or see on our own. And in this new
year, these intimate revelations will be occurring even more often than
before. And in this year, we will need His revelation more than ever before.
Not only will we see and touch things we thought were impossible, but we will
also be moving with Him–in unison with Him out of a loving closeness we have
with our Father.
The next image I have been seeing is one of
my earthly father, who, with great love and joy, hand-fed special bites of a
delicious waffle breakfast to me from his own plate. Again, I was three. I
feel the Lord is reminding me of this scene to make crystal clear that we are
to go to Him daily for our sustenance–before we begin anything else. And we
will receive our food directly from His plate and experience intimate times of
communion and sharing. Again, I feel this intimate time with Him will be more
and more critical in the coming year. I strongly sense that great change will
be taking place over the next two months, entering us into very challenging
times. Each individual believer must come to Him like a child and enjoy a
deeply intimate knowledge of God. “Feed me from Your plate, Lord!”
The last prophetic picture happened last
month. I went into the garage through the door leading from the house. When I
came back into the house, I found I could not shut the door from the house
into the garage. As hard as I pushed on it, even slammed it, I was unable to
shut it! The locking mechanism in the door had jammed. Pondering the
situation, I sat down on the living room sofa and looked at the open door.
Just then I heard a quiet voice inside: “I will open a door no man can
shut!” Whoa! How could a door not shut? But here I was looking at one! He
will be opening doors that are leading us out into the world, ready for the
harvest. Isaiah 22:22 reads:
“I will place on his shoulder the key
to the house of David;
what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.”
My
Friend, you have waited, prayed, and trusted God through many circumstances
that looked bleak. But God will be opening a door for you that no man can
shut! Stepping through this door will cause a multitude of souls, for which
you have asked, to come into His Light. Be patient, and be encouraged! In His
perfect timing you will find an awesome, miraculous, open door! And you
will be a part of a rich harvest!
Making me a fisher of men,
Linda Breitman
